The Plasma Innovation Laboratory at our Vienna site, Takeda’s largest manufacturing site for plasma-derived therapies globally, strives to develop new, innovative methods and technologies to expand our plasma capabilities. The scope of innovation opportunities is significant, due to process complexity, from automation to process technology and materials across the entirety of the manufacturing process (end to end processing). You will be at the center of plasma innovation and development for Takeda’s global plasma operational business unit. We are looking for a student (f/m/x) for the performance of a Bachelor/Master Thesis: Bachelor/Master Thesis for the evaluation of filters for plasma manufacturing (fixed term/ 6 months) - Full Time After a practical training you will evaluate new filter types for cake and sterile filtration as scope of this thesis. The goal of the study is to suggest new filter types and/or new vendors (second sourcing) for large scale manufacturing. The detailed project scope is agile and can be adapted to the academic framework and input of the student.

How you will contribute:

  • Practical training

  • Conduct literature research

  • Plan and execute laboratory experiments supporting the operational evaluation of the filters

  • Summarize and evaluate the experiments within the Bachelor’s Thesis in English

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Active B.Sc./M.Sc. studies (e.g. BOKU/ TU) in (technical) chemistry, biotechnology, process engineering, or similar

  • Experience in lab work (pharmaceutical/chemical/biochemical) and/or manufacturing is a plus

  • High degree of willingness to learn and enjoy independent scientific work

  • Precise, reliable, and independent working style

  • Willingness to work for several experiments in a cold room down to – 10°C

  • Interdisciplinary understanding

  • Good English skills

A competitive remuneration package with a minimum salary of € 1.676,28 gross per month (full-time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) - the actual salary depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
