The Institute of Software Technology at TU Graz has an opening for a

Project Assistant / PhD Position (m/f/d) in the field of AI for Intelligent Energy Systems

40 hours/week, starting presumably on May 1st, 2023, limited to 2 years

Duties and Responsibilities:

The interdisciplinary research group Intelligent Energy Systems aims to bridge the gap between basic and applied research. One of the main focuses of the group is the application of computing technologies and AI to optimize buildings and energy systems. The goal of the thesis:

Literature research in the field of physics-informed machine learning (5%)
Development of machine learning models to optimize buildings and energy systems (80%)
Writing scientific publications (15%)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Admission Requirements

Master in computer science, energy engineering, or similar

Desired Qualification

Experience in Python and machine learning
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Enthusiasm for intelligent energy systems

We offer a minimum annual gross salary based on full-time of € 45,882.20, overpayment possible depending on qualification and experience.
