The Institute of Software Technology at TU Graz has an opening for a
University assistant without doctorate in the field of Federated Learning and Edge-Enabled AI for Intelligent Energy Systems
40 hours/week, starting presumably on April 1st, 2023, limited to 3 years
Duties and Responsibilities:
Current IoT (Internet of Things) solutions for enegry systems in smart buildings depend almost exclusively on cloud in- frastructure and cloud-based services. In the OctoAI project, we are developing the next generation of high-performance Edge AI (Artificial Intelligence) for intelligent energy systems by combining concepts of Transer and Federated Learning.
We are looking for motivated and talented applicants with solid background or willingness to learn the following topics:
- Machine Learning concepts (e.g., Federated Learning)
- Embedded Computing (e.g., μController programming)
- Federated Learning (e.g., Tensorflow Federated, OpenFL)
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We offer a minimum annual gross salary based on full-time of € 45,882.20, overpayment possible depending on qualification and experience.
