CheckYeti is the leading online platform to book holiday activities in more than 1,500 mountain, lake & beach destinations across Europe. Today, CheckYeti features over 12,000 activities in 16 European countries. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on people and process manager to lead and grow our Operations team. The Head of Operations will be part of the company’s leadership team, ensuring cross-functional alignment of goals and key strategic initiatives. The role requires an energetic and well-rounded leader, someone who can set up robust processes, communication and quality management routines, leading a team of 30+ people effectively during high-season periods, but also roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty, fixing errors and looking into the very detail.

YOUR ROLE

  • Create a long-term vision to efficiently scale the customer sales & customer service operations at CheckYeti
  • Lead, manage and grow a high-performing, multi-market/multi-language sales and operations team of 30+ in high-season and act as the direct manager and mentor for the Sales Team Lead & Customer Service Team Lead
  • Improve the productivity and quality of your team’s work through constant, direct feedback and coaching
  • Take ownership of all sales & operations processes, always challenging workflows for efficiency and scalability
  • Design robust tech/tool-supported process improvements & coordinate their implementation with the product team
  • Set up and enforce quality checks & QA processes across all sales and operations activities
  • Develop strategies to grow the sales channel’s revenue contribution
  • Develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction
  • Use a strong KPI system and data-driven approach for setting goals
  • Establish a reliable forecasting and resource planning process
  • Work closely with the founders and colleagues from supply-side, product and marketing

YOUR PROFILE

  • First class degree from a leading university/business school
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a fast-growing start-up/scale-up, top management consulting firm, investment bank or leading online booking/travel/marketplace/ecommerce company
  • Strong communication skills and a minimum of 1 year of experience directly managing international teams, ideally in B2C sales or operations
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrating a very structured and data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Experience in developing and successfully implementing robust new/improved processes
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to overcome new and unstructured challenges and to thrive in the rapidly changing environment of a fast-growing business
  • High level of personal commitment, persistence and flexibility
  • Hands-on team player with proactive “can do” mentality
  • Open for candid feedback
  • Passion for winter/outdoor sports and/or the travel/tourism industry
  • Excellent English skills and fluent in at least one additional language: German, French, Italian, Spanish or Dutch
