Automated driving has been one of the dominant topics in the automotive industry over the last decade. There are many challenges to be tackled in this field, which vary dependent on the level of automation. When it comes to the verification of fully automated vehicles, it is not feasible to cover every possible scenario. Consequently, realistic driving scenarios to alleviate the real-world testing load through simulation are requested. For developing such scenarios, realistic driving conditions like vehicle speed profiles are required. These speed profiles can for example be the result of an optimization method, such as dynamic programming. The main goal of this thesis is the embedding of a dynamic programming method in a Python framework.


  • Review of existing scientific literature for dynamic programming and coupling methods
  • Coupling of tools with Python
