Research for the industry
▶️ How can research contribute to reach business goals?
▶️ How much freedom do you have in your decision making? Is creativity a part of your job?
It really depends on the task. Some are about "code this feature" and there is not much apart from that. I also had bigger tasks which really gave me the opportunity to be creative and decide on my own.
That's in general the thing about data analysis: There are so many ways to work on it. Additionally, there is a certain level of creativity you need to decide what you even want from the data you work on and determine the goals. After that, you can freely decide how to achieve your aims.
▶️ Is your job sometimes frustrating? How do you deal with situations, when your research doesn’t work out?
▶️ What is the most memorable moment at Virtual Vehicle?
I had a lot of fun working with the data from F1 game. I was "playing" the game, which means I was generating data – and during extracting and preparing, I would see the information about everything I did in the game. For example I crashed, virtually of course, and the data showed me the crash "event". After some time, I remember being excited to work on it.
